Fibbing Friday – Saturday Edition

A miscellany of mensonges (that’s the French word for ‘lies’. No, really)

1] Which country has the largest number of Spanish speakers?

I don’t know. Why can’t they just speak English like the rest of us?

2] Name the first computer virus

WTF?

3] Name the highest paid athlete in 2023

Mohammed Salah. And if not, why not?

4] What is the longest running Broadway musical?

‘A Mile’ – which is what I’d run to avoid having to sit through one.

5] How many eyes does a Bee have?

Too many to count – and they’re all, er….beedy.

6] What number of US states have two words?

Fifty, I’d guess. There must be at least one person in each state capable of stringing two words together. Maybe.

7] Which ‘Popeye’ actor died in 2025?

That can of spinach finally passed its sell-by date.

8] At the Oscars in 2025, which film won the best picture award?

Not the actual best one. Oh, sorry – that’s probably true.

9] Who is the author of ‘James’ published in 2024?

James. This vanity publishing thing is getting completely out of hand.

10] The inventor of the telephone was born on the 3rd of March, in which year?

That information is not for public disclosure, but give me a bell and I’ll tell you in confidence. Schtum.
