If you could, what year would you time travel to, and why?

You may recall, dear reader, that time travel was my chosen superpower earlier this week. Been there, done that – which is rather appropriate for the subject of time travel, I suppose.

In the interest of propriety – and because it wasn’t part of the brief – I didn’t specify a particular year in that post, but today’s prompt is trying to pin me down.

So, in a bid to remain respectable, I’ll choose the year 1970. More specifically, I’d like to return to the Isle of Wight Festival in August of that year.

This time, though, I’d stay awake so I don’t miss this again.
