Song Lyric Sunday: Colours – ‘She’s A Rainbow’

This week’s theme is ‘colours’, so why not have them all?

‘She’s A Rainbow’ is another track from the Stones’ relatively brief skirmish with psychedelia on their 1967album ‘Their Satanic Majesties Request’. That’s an album that divides opinion if ever there was one. This song and ‘2,000 Light Years From Home’ are clearly the stand-out tracks, but I doubt whether there’d be many takers for ‘Gomper’ and suchlike.

Cool video, though.

She comes in colours ev’rywhere
She combs her hair
She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colours in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colours

She comes in colours ev’rywhere
She combs her hair
She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colours in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colours

Have you seen her dressed in blue?
See the sky in front of you
And her face is like a sail
Speck of white so fair and pale
Have you seen a lady fairer?

She comes in colours ev’rywhere
She combs her hair
She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colours in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colours

Have you seen her all in gold?
Like a queen in days of old
She shoots colours all around
Like a sunset going down
Have you seen a lady fairer?

She comes in colours ev’rywhere
She combs her hair
She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colours in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colours

She’s like a rainbow
Coming, colours in the air
Oh, everywhere
She comes in colours
