My esteemed brother has just started a challenge on his Facebook page in which he is going to post, daily for the next ten days, an image of the cover of an album that he regards as seminal in the development of his musical tastes. No comment, no elaboration, just the cover. My daughter has also joined in, so why shouldn’t I?

I don’t do Facebook, but there’s no reason why this can’t be a WordPress project. I will post the image daily, and not add any text. However, as a supplement I’ll also include a link to a Youtube video of the song or track that particularly resonated with me and cemented the album’s place in my canon.

These will be in chronological order and, looking at the original release dates, it would be pretty straightforward to carbon-date me with reasonable accuracy.
